Lisa Friedman joins the New York Times’ Climate Desk

Longtime climate reporter Lisa Friedman is joining the New York Times, after serving almost a decade at E&E News’ Climatewire.

Friedman shared the move in a tweet saying, “Thrilled to announce that I will be joining The New York Times as a reporter on the climate desk at the end of the month.”

Prior to joining the Times, Friedman served as Climatewires editor and spent 14 years as the Washington bureau chief for the Oakland Tribune and the Los Angeles Daily News. She will continue to cover the environment and the administration’s climate change policy in her new position.
