Thanks to DC Social (@SocialInDC) for reminding the twitterhood that tweets starting with @ have limited viewership. While most of us expect our followers to hinge on every sharp quip and retort, we probably don’t realize/remember that using the “reply” button actually directs our LOL commentary back only to those to whom we are replying and mutual followers and not to the twitterverse. So if you want everyone to read these quips and RT them, don’t forget to type your quip BEFORE the @ symbol.  Otherwise your tweet will fall in the forest without making a sound. And a question for our friends @Twitter: any chance we’ll see a “Classic RT” button anytime soon?
