Six additional hires increase the firm’s public opinion and strategic communications expertise

Seven Letter, an expertise-powered bipartisan strategic communications firm with offices in Washington & Boston, today announced the addition ofCasey Hernandezas a Partner to its growing team of communicators.

An accomplished communications executive with two decades of corporate and political communications experience, Casey was most recently senior vice president for global corporate communications at Herbalife, a publicly traded nutrition and wellness company headquartered in Los Angeles, where she managed the company’s overall communications strategy, including CEO positioning and communications, media relations, internal communications, creative content development, ESG communications and social media engagement.

Prior to her time at Herbalife, Casey served in senior communications roles in the Obama administration at both the United States Department of the Treasury and the Department of Transportation and served as associate creative director on the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee. Casey also served as press secretary to former Mayor of Los Angeles Antonio Villaraigosa, overseeing strategic communications planning for the mayor in the second largest media market in the country.

Casey will enable us to build on that foundation and continue to expand our offering to both publicly and privately held companies,” said Founding Partner & CEO Erik Smith. “Her depth and breadth of knowledge from her experience within the public and private sectors will make her an invaluable partner to not only our corporate communications clients, but to our public affairs clients as well.”

Anthony Nerantzis began his career on Capitol Hill as an aide to the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee. Prior to joining Seven Letter, Anthony was part of a leading communications firm’s Washington, D.C.-based corporate reputation practice, where he counseled both Fortune 100 companies and premier trade groups on public affairs and reputational issues.

Annie Phifer joins the Seven Letter Insight team after having worked at a market research consultancy where she specialized in conducting and analyzing research to inform brand and communication strategies, marketing campaigns, product development, and public affairs tactics. Prior to her time there, she supported federal prosecutors as a Paralegal Specialist at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York in their high-profile cases and public corruption unit.

Prior to joining Seven Letter, Hedi Haleem served as Office Administrator and Assistant to the CEO of WireWheel, a national data security software company; Assistant to the Chief Government Affairs Officer of JUUL Labs; and Assistant to the President of Discovery Channel.

Abbey Fitzpatrick, Georgia Shanker and Radeeyah Khan all join the firm after having completed the Seven Letter Fellowship Program.

Casey Hernandez, Anthony Nerantzis, Abbey Fitzpatrick, Radeeyah Khan and Hedi Haleem will work out of Seven Letter’s Washington, D.C. office. Annie Phifer and Georgia Shanker will work out of Seven Letter’s Boston, MA office.
