Throughout his career, Kris has specialized in creative, persuasive, and compelling writing: He’s authored pieces for high-profile outlets including CNN, NBC News, and USA Today, and he’s developed social media content for accounts with millions of followers. Kris served on the speechwriting team of the 2016 Democratic National Convention and penned over 500 speeches as the speechwriter for U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro—who now chairs the powerful House Appropriations Committee. Most recently, Kris was a writer for philanthropist Melinda French Gates and her investment and incubation company, Pivotal Ventures.

Previously, Kris worked for several years at Blue Engine Message and Media, which merged with JDA Frontline in 2018 to form Seven Letter. At Blue Engine, he was a trusted strategist helping coalitions, non-profits, and Fortune 500 corporations advance their goals.

Kris graduated from Ohio State University and hails from the greater Pittsburgh area.
