Paige Rusher is a seasoned strategic communications specialist with diverse experience, having worked in both chambers of Congress. During her time on Capitol Hill, Paige developed integrated communications plans for a portfolio of issues including health care, education, financial services, national security, and tax policy.

Paige has a proven track record of messaging bipartisan wins, building and maintaining strong media relations, and distilling complex policy issues into persuasive and compelling advocacy campaigns.

At Seven Letter, Paige pairs this experience with policy insight to help secure the objectives of her clients.

Before joining Seven Letter, Paige served as the Press Secretary for Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) and the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Republicans. In this role, she defined key communication strategies for significant policy proposals, nomination hearings, and press conferences. This included developing a long-term messaging strategy for the Senate’s COVID-19 pandemic oversight and response and the 2022 reauthorization of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) user fee agreements. In addition, she advised clear and concise messaging plans for the permanent funding of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s three-year investigation into Russian attempts to interfere in the 2016 U.S. elections, two accomplishments central to Senator Burr’s legacy.

Prior to her role in the Senate, Paige was Press Secretary for Representative Andy Barr (R-KY). During her time, she served as the Representative’s spokesperson and managed media relations, training, booking, and pitching. Paige directed an integrated strategic plan to highlight the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, reforms to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and Kentucky’s first national monument.

A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Paige graduated from the University of Kentucky with a BA in Integrated Strategic Communications and a minor in Political Science.
