Growing Bipartisan Public Affairs Firm Adds Tech, Capitol Hill, Media Relations and Polling Expertise to its Practice

WASHINGTON, DC – (June 3, 2021) – Seven Letter, a bipartisan, full-service strategic communications firm with offices in Washington and Boston, announced today the addition of Nu Wexler, Annalyse Keller, Jessa Scott-Johnson, Regina Anderson and Valentina Mendez to its growing team of communicators. The moves add significant bipartisan firepower and strengthen Seven Letter’s growing suite of offerings.

Wexler joins the firm as a partner after two decades in high profile roles, including leading communications at Google, Facebook and Twitter, as well as working for top Democrats in both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House. Keller, most recently leading communications for former Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), and Scott-Johnson, a veteran of public policy research, join the firm as senior directors. Anderson and Mendez join as content specialists. Wexler, Keller, Scott-Johnson and Anderson will work in Seven Letter’s Washington office and Mendez in Boston. Scott-Johnson will join the firm’s messaging and opinion research practice, Seven Letter Insight, launched last fall.

“Seven Letter is growing at the perfect time to enhance our ability to provide steady, creative, and experience-driven counsel during this critical moment,” said founding partner David Di Martino. “We are adding a team of tremendously talented communicators with a diverse skill set that will enhance our client services and offerings in communications, digital and public opinion research. Nu has helped shape some of the tech sector’s most consequential policy communications of the past decade and we are so pleased that he, Annalyse, Jessa, Regina and Valentina are joining the team.”

Prior to his roles in the tech industry leading communications efforts focused on privacy, cybersecurity, disinformation, copyright and child safety, Nu Wexler worked for the House Budget Committee, the House Education and Labor Committee, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and former Senator Ernest “Fritz” Hollings (D-SC). Wexler worked on Hollings’ re-election campaign, and was executive director of the South Carolina Democratic Party, running their “First in the South” Presidential Primary and later serving as the party’s general election coordinated campaign director. At Seven Letter, Wexler will lead and support client teams focused on health care, national security and voter access, among others.

“Nu, Annalyse, Jessa, Regina and Valentina have distinguished themselves everywhere they have gone with their leadership, insight, creativity and dedication,” said founding Partner Thomas P. O’Neill III. “After helping steer our clients through the COVID crisis and building a flexible, fulfilling and productive workplace, we’re focused on continuing the growth we saw last year and identifying new ways to innovate for our clients and our team. We are really excited to benefit from the experience and collaboration of our new colleagues.”

Annalyse Keller joins Seven Letter after nearly a decade on Capitol Hill, most recently as communications director for former Sen. Gardner during his closely watched 2020 re-election campaign and as Deputy Chief of Staff and spokesperson in the House of Representatives for Republican Members of Congress from Michigan and Alabama, respectively. At Seven Letter, Keller will work on issues related to housing, technology, health care and defense, among others.

Jessa Scott-Johnson joins Seven Letter Insight, the firm’s growing public opinion and messaging research offering. She brings 15 years of experience crafting public opinion research strategies for a wide variety of corporate and political clients for research firms, news organizations and the U.S. Department of Defense. Most recently, Scott-Johnson was the Data Director at American Viewpoint, a public opinion research firm.

Regina Anderson most recently served on the 2020 communications team at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and prior to that worked in communications capacities for a statewide political campaign and two U.S. Senators. She will support several of the firm’s transportation, financial services, housing, trade association and coalition projects, among others. Valentina Mendez supported the Department of Global Communications at the United Nations and was an intern for a precision health startup. Based in Boston, she will support clients related to higher education, health care, labor policy and municipalities, among others.
