Boston Globe announces new D.C. bureau chief

Jim Puzzanghera is joining the Boston Globe as its Washington, D.C., bureau chief.

Puzzanghera joins the Globe after covering business and economic issues for over a decade at the Los Angeles Times. Puzzanghera also reported for the San Jose Mercury News, Newsday and the St. Petersburg Times.

Globe editor Brian McGrory shared his breadth of experience in a memo to the newsroom: “Across his career, he’s covered September 11, the Clinton impeachment, presidential campaigns, and everything to do with the economy.”
