David Di Martino is a seasoned communications professional with 20 years of experience advising non-profit, political, advocacy and corporate clients on messaging, media, communications, and strategy. David has worked at the highest levels of national politics and public policy, having held senior positions on several campaigns and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and during 15 years in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.
As a partner at Blue Engine Message & Media, David provides professional senior counsel to a diverse array of clients on an expansive set of public policy and public affairs issue areas. Before joining Blue Engine, David founded his own strategic communications firm, DD Media, and before that co-founded Blue Line Strategic Communications. In those leadership positions he managed public affairs campaigns and coalitions for leading environmental and public health groups, financial services industry companies, high tech firms, clean tech organizations, and sports and entertainment groups.
David is one of National Journal‘s 100 “Political Insiders,” an occasional television and print political commentator, and an associate member of the National Press Club in Washington, DC.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of New Hampshire (1991). He doesn’t think there is a distance too far to travel for a Rolling Stones show or to take his daughters to see a Taylor Swift concert. A native of Boston, David enjoys sports, especially the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots, and he knows Tom Brady is innocent.
