Irma L. Palmer joins Blue Engine Message & Media after serving as Governor Terence R. McAuliffe’s Director of Constituent Services. She previously served as Governor McAuliffe’s Traveling Press Secretary. Irma is a double alumna of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Public Policy. She is also an alumna of the Sorensen Institute’s Political Leaders Program. Prior to graduate school, Irma worked on Capitol Hill as Senator Mary Landrieu’s Press Secretary on the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Prior to working for Senator Landrieu, she served as a press assistant for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee. Irma interned on Capitol Hill for Congressman John Spratt, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, Congressman John Larson, Congressman Jim Clyburn, and Senator Jim Webb. She also volunteered in President Barack Obama’s Office of Presidential Correspondence.
