After five years at National Journal as Vice President of Membership, Chief Revenue Officer and, most recently, Publisher and President, Poppy MacDonald is returning to POLITICO to lead as President of its US operations.
Prior to joining National Journal, MacDonald worked a brief, but successful, stint as POLITICO Pro’s Executive Director of Business Development. She oversaw the launch of the outlet’s first paid, sector-specific subscription model, now a well-respected, defining feature of POLITICO’s coverage offerings. In rejoining as President of POLITICO US, MacDonald will focus on domestic operations and strategy as the organization enters its second decade, POLITICO announced.
MacDonald’s return comes amidst numerous position shifts and new faces in POLITICO’s newsroom, including that of Carrie Budoff Brown, who was named the publication’s Editor last month.
