Tech reporter Tony Romm will join The Washington Post as its newest tech policy reporter, after covering the intersection of Washington and Silicon Valley as Recode’s senior policy and politics editor. He announced the move on Twitter this week.

Romm had spent seven years with Politico as a tech reporter before joining Recode.

He is slated to begin his new role with the Post on Feb. 20.
