Longtime energy policy reporter Amy Harder announced today that she will be joining Axios. Harder, who makes the move after three years on the same beat at the Wall Street Journal, will helm Axios’ planned vertical on energy – the outlet’s fifth vertical. Harder will work with fellow energy writer Ben Geman, also a new Axios recruit, formerly of National Journal, beginning in March. Harder will be focusing on quick-hit analysis and gathering scoops in her new role.

Prior to the Journal, Harder spent six years at National Journal. She has covered a wide range of energy-related topics, including carbon taxes, the Department of Energy, and fracking.

Axios editor Nick Johnson, commenting on the new hires, praised their experience saying he had “an embarrassment of reporting riches” to cover energy. Read more at Digiday.
