Damian Paletta joins The Washington Post as senior economics correspondent

Damian_PalettaLong-time Wall Street Journal reporter Damian Paletta is joining The Washington Post’s political team as a senior economics correspondent covering the Trump Administration.

Paletta joins The Washington Post after more than a decade covering U.S. economic policy, financial policy, banking policy, the 2008 and 2009 financial crisis, as well as the White House and Congress for the Journal.

In his most recent role with the Journal, he covered intelligence and national security, including the federal intelligence agencies and cybersecurity policy.

Washington Post White House bureau chief Philip Rucker announced Paletta’s new position and welcomed him via Twitter.
