Paige Winfield Cunningham is joining The Washington Post’s PowerPost to anchor the paper’s forthcoming health care policy newsletter. She is one of several recent hires by the Post to help grow the PowerPost vertical and manage the development of several new PowerPost newsletters.
Prior to joining the Post, Cunningham served as the senior health care correspondent at the Washington Examiner and covered health care for POLITICO and The Washington Times. She began her career at The Naperville Sun where she covered county government and wrote a blog named “The Political Page.”
Washington Post editors Scott Wilson, Steven Ginsberg, Amy Gardner, and PowerPost editor Rachel Van Dongen shared Cunningham’s new role for the upcoming newsletter saying, “Paige will provide scoops, in-depth analysis and experienced perspective on the often complicated but very important world of health policy.” Cunningham starts at the Post on March 27th.
