POLITICO recently announced a host of new hires to its team, including reporters with roots in national security, political, financial services, and regional reporting. Joining the POLITICO Pro Defense team is Bryan Bender, an award-winning national security correspondent at the Boston Globe since 2001. Also joining POLITICO’s ranks is political reporter and anchor Eli Stokols, who has covered Colorado politics for Denver’s KDVR Fox 31 for the past seven years. In addition to Bender and Stokols, POLITICO has also announced that they have brought on Luiza Ch. Savage as editorial director for events, Benton Ives as Congress editor, Jen Liberto as its first senior financial services reporter, Elena Schneider as a reporter covering 2016’s most competitive House races, plus several new web producers.
