Former New Republic senior editor Noam Scheiber will soon take over the labor and workplace beat at the New York Times. The Times business editor Dean Murphy praised Scheiber’s “deep understanding of economic policy and his “penchant for great story telling.” Scheiber spent nearly 15 years at The New Republic covering the economy, technology, politics as well as labor and workplace issues.
