01.11.17

Josh Meyer is joining POLITICO as a senior investigative reporter to help create a new investigative unit with POLITICO’s Peter Canellos. Meyer will also conduct original reporting and collaborate with reporters across POLITICO’s newsroom. Meyer previously served as a senior investigative reporter for NBC News’ Investigations Unit. At NBC he specialized in national security issues where he helped break stories around the Russians hacking the 2016 presidential election, terrorism and other topics. He also wrote for The Los Angeles Times for two decades and spent the last nine months as their terrorism/national security correspondent in Washington. Meyer authored a book on the hunt for the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, which was named as one of the best non-fiction books in 2012 by Washington Post and Kirkus Reviews.

POLITICO editor Carrie Budoff Brown announced Meyer’s hire in an email to the staff saying, “We’re thrilled to announce …. one of the most honored and experienced investigative reporters of the last couple of decades, is joining POLITICO as senior investigative reporter.”
